A 19-year old Navy man who police say ran naked into a traffic
intersection and tried to get into a woman's car Saturday is
stationed aboard the guided missile frigate Samuel B. Roberts, a
Navy spokeswoman said Monday.
CLARIFICATION
A headline in Monday's Metro News section was incorrect. A
police officer tried to follow a car that sped away at nearly 100
mph on Birdneck Road Saturday, but the officer was not engaged in a
chase. The officer later found the wreckage where a teenager died
and a second was hurt.
