A 23-year-old man attacked at his home Monday later died in a hospital, police said Monday.
Police said someone fought with Duwane E. White at his residence in the 8100 block of Shore Drive around 1 p.m. White staggered into the street, where he collapsed.
Rescue workers took White to DePaul Medical Center, where he died just before 6:30 p.m.
Police spokesman Larry Hill said investigators don't know who attacked White, or why.
