Martin Glaser, 75, of the 3000 block of Shore Drive, a retired retail merchant, died Nov. 28, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Glaser was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. He began his career as a grocer in Norfolk in 1946 and continued in the grocery and supermarket business until his retirement in 1978. Following his retirement he had a successful career in the Old Time Photo Business. He was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk, and a former member of Temple Israel.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bertha Furman Glaser; a daughter, Paula R. Glaser of San Francisco, Calif.; two sons, Jack R. Glaser and his wife, Deborah, of Virginia Beach, Allan R. Glaser of Los Angeles; two sisters, Rose Wax of Norfolk, Beatrice Bernstein of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Bernard Glaser of Norfolk, Leonard Glaser of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren, Brian and Allison Glaser.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tidewater Chapter of the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, will be handling the arrangements.
