LUCILLE HEWITT

Lucille Hewitt, 90, formerly of 1421 Lindsay Ave., died Nov. 25, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.

Mrs. Hewitt, the widow of Freddie B. Hewitt, was a native of Southampton County. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include two sisters, Louise O. Rozell of Portsmouth and Alma Elliott of Oak City, N.C.; a brother, Sagaster Oliver of Portsmouth; two nephews, Mashall Oliver Jr. of Portsmouth, Maryous Oliver of Brownville, N.J.; a niece, Shirley Hawkins of Bronx, N.Y.; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The family and friends will assemble at the cemetery.
