Julius Benson Boykin, 79, of 5134 Carrsville Highway, died Nov. 28, 1995, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Rembert, S.C., and was the son of the late John Thomas Ellie and Sallie Lee Boykin. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired millwright in the lumber division of Union Camp Corp. He was a member and former deacon of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Pack Boykin; a daughter, Julie B. Jones and her husband, Ricky, of Franklin; a son, David B. Boykin and his wife, Carolyn, of Courtland; two brothers, W.L. Boykin of Bishopsville, S.C., and T.A. Boykin of Eufayla, Okla.; three grandchildren, Heather Boykin, Lori Edwards and Kyle Boykin and his wife, Amy; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia C. Boykin.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Beaver Dam Baptist CHurch by the Rev. Dr. Richard L. Peerey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and requests memorials be made to the Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 3593 Carrsville Highway, Franklin, Va. 23851, or the American Rescue Squad, c/o Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin.
