Mary Beatrice Staton, 71, formerly of 716 Godwin St., died Nov. 21, 1995, in Louise Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
Mrs. Staton, the widow of Elmer Staton, was a native of Hamilton, N.C.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Knight of Norfolk; a sister, Lula Mae Williams of Salisbury, Md.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; an aunt, Annie Hardy of Portsmouth; and a host of relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. F.R. Williams. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The family will be at 1717 Cypress St., Norfolk, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
