ROBERT S. HOUSE

Robert S. House died Nov. 29, 1995, in Sentara Bayside Hospital after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Mr. House was a native of Emporia, Va. He retired in 1992 from VA/NC Power as a director with 37 years of service. Mr. House was a Methodist. He was also a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean conflict, a member of the Norview Masonic Lodge (NU)113, Noview Royal Arch Chapter (NU)62, Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Great Creek Hunt Club in Brunswick County, Va. Mr. House was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enriched many lives and will be remembered with great love and admiration.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Hattie L. House; daughter, Jeanmarie H. and her husband, W. Robert Stephenson of Chesapeake; two brothers, John Harrison House of Richmond, James L. House of Emporia, Va.; two grandsons, W. Robert Stephenson II and Benjamin David Stephenson, both of Chesapeake.

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Don Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Va. The family will remain at the funeral home to greet friends following the service. Masonic rites will be accorded at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Bayside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1920 Pleasure House Road, Virginia Beach, 23455. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
