VIOLA D. PATTERSON

Viola Dixon Patterson died Nov. 28, 1995, in her home.

She was a native of Richmond and the widow of Stafford E. Patterson. She was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she was involved in the Nellie Church Sunday school class. She was a member of the Elizabeth Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a charter member of the Pinewell Garden Club for over 50 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth P. Freund of McConnelsville, Ohio, Beverly P. Suhr of Wilton, Conn.; son, Stafford H. Patterson of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ruth Anne Patterson of Virginia Beach; and a niece, Ann Glenn of Richmond. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert C. and Mary G. Dixon; and a son, Percy R. Patterson.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Morris A. Bennett and the Rev. Elizabeth P. Freund in Miles Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
