A 47-year-old armed man who held police at bay late Tuesday somehow slipped past officers surrounding his house and then called police from a nearby business.
Officers drove to where the man was and arrested him. They took him to a mental-health facility and declined to release his name.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., the man threatened his wife at their home on Masefield Circle, and she left to call police. The wife told police her husband was on medication and was despondent.
The man slipped past a police perimeter and made the call. He was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. Police don't expect to charge him. by CNB
