Chester P. Crowe, 41, already facing several sex-related charges, has been accused of taking indecent liberties with a 13-year-old relative.
Crowe, suspended without pay from the Norfolk Police Department since May 10, 1994, pending other charges, is now accused of having fondled and made sexual suggestions to a 13-year-old girl from Michigan this year.
The youth, described by Virginia Beach police as a ``distant relative,'' told investigators the incidents occurred between June 15 and Aug. 1 while she was visiting Hampton Roads.
A grand jury returned indictments for two counts of taking indecent liberties with a juvenile. Crowe was arrested Wednesday, charged and released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
Norfolk police charged Crowe in August with taking indecent liberties with a juvenile and sex with an animate object. Those crimes allegedly occurred between June 25 and July 30 in Norfolk.
In June 1994, a grand jury indicted the 20-year police veteran and charged him with crimes against nature, bribery and two counts of soliciting for a felony.
In that case, Crowe was accused of engaging in sodomy with a 17-year-old girl. Crowe also was accused of taking a bribe, trying to persuade the girl to commit bribery and asking the girl to engage in sodomy.
