POLICE HUNTING ROBBERY VICTIM

Police are looking for an alleged victim of a robbery and abduction that began outside an apartment complex in the 14500 block of Old Courthouse Way Monday night.

Patty Mahaffy, a police spokeswoman, said about 8:30 p.m. two male juveniles were talking in the parking lot of Courthouse Green Apartments when they were approached by three black males in a four-door gray Buick coupe.

The driver and rear passenger displayed pistols and allegedly forced the two juveniles into the car, Mahaffy said.

After driving some distance, one of the victims, 16-year-old Tony Lee Shumaker, was pushed out of the car near Old Courthouse Way and Warwick Boulevard. Shumaker, of the 14500 block of Old Courthouse Way, had been robbed of a pager, jacket and wallet.

The Buick was last seen heading north on Warwick Boulevard. Police have not been able to locate or confirm the identity of the second victim.

Police have information that the second victim may be a runaway from another jurisdiction going by the name Ricky Johnson, Mahaffy said. He is described as a black male, 15 to 16 years old, and 5-foot-8 to 5-10 with a medium build.

Anyone with information on Johnson or the crime is asked to call Crime Line at 245-0755. by CNB
