Merlin Eugene Walker Jr., 49, of the 1600 block of Chesapeake Drive, died Nov. 29, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Walker, a press operator for The Virginian-Pilot, was a native of Norfolk. He was a member of South Norfolk Church of Christ, Chesapeake.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth McDaniel Walker of Chesapeake; two sisters, Diane Pollard of Williamston, N.C., Pam Richard of Virginia Beach; a brother, Thomas R. Walker of El Passo, Texas; and friend, Johnnie Hazelwood of Manassas, Va. He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin E. Walker Sr.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. John Keane. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times at 1405 Buff St., Chesapeake.
