ROBERT CUNDIFF JR.

Robert Cundiff Jr., 68, of 15061 Shade Tree Lane, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Pittsylvania County, Va., and retired in 1982 from Coley and Peterson Construction Company after 25 years of service. Mr. Cundiff attended Benns United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad and Local (NU)147, Operating and Engineers Union. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel McGrady Cundiff; a daughter, Carol Ann Johnston of Suffolk; three sons, Clark Dennis Cundiff of Simpsonville, S.C., Mark Wayne Cundiff of Gurnie, Ill., Roger Lee Cundiff of Carrollton; a sister, Flora C. Tarpley of Danville, Va.; and five grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 1995, in Colonial Funeral Home by the Rev. Fred Breeden. Interment followed in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund, Benns United Methodist Church, 14571 Benns Church Blvd., Smithfield, Va. 23430.
