ROBERT L. MORRISSETTE

Robert Leonard ``Pete'' Morrissette, BMCS, (ret.), 69, of 4042 Sadler Drive, died Nov. 29, 1995, at McGuire Veterans Hospital, Richmond.

A native of Manchester, N.H., he was the son of the late Leonard and Gertrude Paquette Morrissette. Mr. Morrissette retired from the Navy after 28 1/2 years. He served during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Era. He was a captain in the Merchant Marines for 9 1/2 years on the Tanker Chesapeake. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, The Disabled American Veterans Chapter (NU)5 and the Fleet Reserves, Branch (NU)40.

Survivors include his wife, Mariette Morrissette; a son, Robert L. Morrissette Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Christopher Morrissette and Corinna Morrissette; a brother, Raymond Morrissette of Manchester, N.H.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church by Father Thomas B. Nee. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
