SENORA P. BUTLER

Senora Pinner Butler, 81, of Route 1, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 1995, in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ashoskie.

Mrs. Butler was born in Smithfield, Va. The daughter of the late George Monroe and Mrs. Margaret LuAnna Murphry Pinner, she had lived for many years in Suffolk, before moving to Eure to live with her daughter. A member of Whaleyville United Methodist Church, she attended Cool Spring Baptist Church and the Cool Spring Senior Citizens Bible Class. She was the wife of the late Frank Wilbur Butler.

Surviving are a daughter, Frances Butler Felton and her husband, L.Z. Felton of Eure; a son, Frank Woodville Butler and his wife, Bernice Butler of Suffolk; a sister, Katherine Pinner Grinstead of McYaheysville, Va.; three grandchildren, Johnny Houser, Frank Woodville Butler Jr., and Susan Frances Butler; two step-grandchildren, Ronnie LaPent and Barry Matthew; and two great-grandchildren, John Wayne Houser and Mary Elizabeth Houser.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Horace Culpepper and the Rev. Tommy Hayes. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the home of her daughter, Route 1, Box 44F, Eure. Memorial contributions may be made to Roanoke-Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910 or the Gates County Rescue Squad, Gatesville, N.C. 27936.
