Lennie Clarke Williams, 87, of 213 Wilson St., died Nov. 29, 1995, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Franklin, Va. Mrs. Williams was the widow of the late Surry Williams.
Mrs. Williams was a member of First Baptist Church and until she became ill assumed a leadership role in several auxilliaries - Church School Teacher and the Rose of Sharon. Her community activities included the Garden Club and the NAACP. She was retired from the Southampton County School System after over 40 years of service.
She is survived by four nieces and two nephews; one foster son; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church on Hull Street by Rev. Henry Blunt. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
