ON THE MOVE: SEMINAR HIGHLIGHTS REMODELING

The Tidewater Builders Association's Remodelers Council will host the first of a national series of seminars for professional remodelers from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the TBA boardroom at 2117 Smith Ave., Chesapeake.

The subject is ``Business Management: Remodeling By Design.'' The speaker is Tom Swartz, a builder from Illinois who was 1993 chairman of the NAHB's Remodelers Council and is currently vice chairman of the National Council of the Housing Industry, the manufacturing arm of the National Association of Home Builders.

Beach Fed Mortgage Co. has named Kevin W. Hull and Edward O. ``Ted'' Yoder to its board of directors. Hull is vice president and branch manager of the company's Chesapeake office while Yoder is vice president and branch manager of the Virginia Beach office.

Deborah Lesyshyn of William E. Wood and Associates has been designated an Accredited Relocation Agent by Relocation Resources Inc., an international relocation company.

Wood's October performance honors went to Don King, Churchland, top listing agent; Ann Runaldue, Great Neck, top selling agent, and Sherrie Pinaire, No. 1 in new home sales. Bernice Aparicio was property manager of the month. Georgie Frech of the Kempsville office was recognized for her relocation referral efforts.

Rose & Krueth Realty Corp. delivered 248 food baskets to needy families this Thanksgiving for its 5th Annual Real Estate Basket Brigade. More than $2,000 was contributed by associates of the firm to make the drive a success.

Century 21 At The Mall in Virginia Beach is ranked 25th among Century 21 Real Estate Corp.'s rating of its offices based on transaction units. Sales associate Kenneth Rapp, who works at that office, is individually ranked 7th nationally based on transactions.

Nine Century 21 offices were recently named Gold Club Offices based on sales: At the Mall; Greg Garrett, Newport News; Nachman Realty, Hampton; Charter Realty, Virginia Beach; Action-Plus, Virginia Beach; Century Realty, Chesapeake; Man-Jac Realty, Norfolk; Accord Realty, Chesapeake, and Action-Plus, Norfolk.

Receiving the Centurion Candidate Award, representing the top 1 percent of sales associates in the district, were Larry Townsend, Ken Phaup and Kim Gunselman of Greg Garett; Bud Baxter, Century Realty; George Frates and Sam Harris, At The Mall, and Henry Brown, Nachman.
