Jessie ``Mae Mae'' D. Pieroni, 78, of the first block of Fiske St., died Dec. 1, 1995.
She was formerly employed with Hofheimer's in Portsmouth prior to employment with First Virginia Bank. She was retired and a native of Portsmouth. She was the widow of Edward Lewis Pieroni. Mrs. Pieroni was a member of Brantley Grove Baptist Church in Ahoskie, N.C.
She is survived by her son, Edward L. Pieroni Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Chesapeake; and sister, Rosa Lee D. Minga and her husband, Duncan R., of Rescue, Va. She also is survived by two grandsons, Brian E. Pieroni and wife, Jana, and Jamie L. Pieroni, all of Chesapeake; and great-grandson Brennan C. Pieroni of Chesapeake, all of whom called her ``Our Beloved Pa Pa.'' Mrs. Pieroni also is survived by two nieces; one nephew; and a sister-in-law, Ellen Doughtie of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Neal Sasser in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maryview Foundation, 3636 High St., Portsmouth, 23707.
