Rachael DeBerry Warren, 75, of the 2400 block of Bidgood Drive, died Dec. 2, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Warren was a native of Blackstone, Va., and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was a retired teacher with both the Portsmouth and Norfolk County Public School Systems. Mrs. Warren graduated from Blackstone High School in 1937 and Farmville Teacher's College in 1941. She was also a member of the Portsmouth Retired Teacher's Association, the Retired Teacher's Luncheon Club, and was very active in the Y.M.C.A.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband of 52 years, Elwood M. Warren; daughter, Ellen W. Comstock and husband, J. Raymond Jr. of Portsmouth; brother, Lee W. DeBerry of Lynchburg, Va.; and two grandsons, Patrick and Timothy Comstock of Portsmouth.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, by the Rev. Donald Seeley at Centenary United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 3312 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, 23703.
