The Democrats of Norfolk have finally been exposed. Randy Wright was not qualified for the position of clerk of the Norfolk Circuit Court. You reported on Nov. 10 that the Democrats overlooked Tom Baldwin, presently clerk of General District Court, for the position.
Tom Baldwin has a long list of successes behind him. I was fortunate enough to work for Tom when he was the administrative assistant to the Norfolk commonwealth's attorney. His leadership style and knowledge of the court system far surpass that of any leader in Norfolk. They say hindsight is better than foresight.
Maybe this is a wake-up call for the Democrats of Norfolk: Support the best person for the job and stop trying to repay favors. You'll all do the citizens of Norfolk justice by watching and learning how the Republicans choose their most-qualified person for the job.
