Allene Johnston Savage, 90, died in a local convalescent center, Saturday, Dec. 2, 1995.
She was born in Norfolk, and was a retired school teacher with the Norfolk County School System. Mrs. Savage was the widow of E. Clyde Savage, who was the former owner of E.C. Savage and Co., and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Louise Griffin of Chesapeake; two brothers, C.A. Johnston of Norfolk and Charles Johnston of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Blalock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 408 Boush St., Norfolk, Va. 23510. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
