GLADYS M. WILLIAMS

Gladys Mae Williams, 73, of the 1300 block of Marshall Ave., died Nov. 30, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Mrs. Williams was born in Norfolk and retired as an oyster shucker after 20 years. She was a member and usher of Rehoboth Church in Chesapeake.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Wilkerson; a daughter, Shirley M. Taylor of Virginia Beach; three sons, Herman S. Williams, Richard D. Williams, Anthony Williams, all of Norfolk; grandchildren, Diane Taylor-Jones, Melvin Taylor Jr., Herman S. Taylor, Robert L. Taylor, James E. Taylor, Ricky L. Taylor and Debra A. Tyler, Gail Strickland, Herman S. Williams, Larry E. Williams, Gary N. Williams, Maurice C. Williams and Michael Williams; great-grandchildren, Tramaine D. Taylor, James B. Jones III; and a host of other great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Bell-Williams.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop John H. Kindred. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will receive guests at 5610 Tourmaline Court (Diamond Spring Condos), Virginia Beach. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
