Elmer Lee Harkness, of the 200 block of Saint Luke Church Road, died Nov. 30, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Harkness, a native of Norfolk County, was a member of Saint Thomas A.M.E.Z. Church, Chesapeake. She was a member of the Stewardess Board and Class Leader.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Harkness; a son, Raymond E. Harkness of Chesapeake; her mother, Hilda Skinner of Chesapeake; a sister, Lillie M. Eason of Chesapeake; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Saint Thomas A.M.E.Z. Church by the Rev. Jessie M. Smith, assisted by the Rev. Charles Conley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at 1832 Mount Pleasant Road, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in church at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.
