Ruby E. Painter, 70, of Gwynn, died Friday, Dec. 1, 1995.
She was a native of Mathews County, a former resident of Norfolk and a resident of Gwynn for the past eight years.
Survivors include her husband, Mosby Painter; two sons, Jay F. Painter of Richmond and Ronald E. Painter of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Sadie Williams of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Jimmy Hudgins of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. Burial will follow in the Gwynns Island Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
