STEFAN T. LAWRENCE

Stefan Thomore Lawrence, 24, of 82 Ivy Lane, died Dec. 2, 1995.

He was a mathematics/computer instructor at St. Paul College, Lawrenceville, Va. He attended Virginia State University, Petersburg, where he received a bachelor of science and masters degree in mathematics. He graduated from Indian River High School in 1988. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Lawrence of Chesapeake; his father, Morris Evans of Suffolk; a brother, Byron Lawrence of Chesapeake; two stepbrothers, Marcus Evans, U.S. Navy, and Mark Evans, U.S. Army; a stepsister, Victoria Evans of Virginia Beach; maternal grandfather, Cleveland Lawrence of Suffolk; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Evans of Suffolk; two nephews, JaVaughn Gray of Chesapeake, Aaron Evans of Blacksburg; his fiancee, Kim Wilson of Norfolk; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday, Dec. 7, 1995, at Bethany Baptist Church, 2587 Campostella Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Jake Manley. Contributions may be made to the Stefan T. Lawrence Memorial Scholarship Fund, Virginia State University Mathematics Department, Petersburg, Va. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.
