Ernest Leslie Tazewell Sr., of the 300 block of Curtis St., died Nov. 30, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Tazewell, the widower of Martha J. Tazewell, was a native of South Norfolk. He was an electrician. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, in 1984 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Berkley, Norfolk, where he was an usher of the 7 a.m. worship service. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah J. Blount of Norfolk, Denise M. Lloyd of Chesapeake; two sons, Ernest L. Tazewell Jr. of Chesapeake, and Walter E. Tazewell of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
