Although he doesn't wear ``Blue Suede Shoes,'' lawyer Richard Doummar can do a mean Elvis Presley impression. And, it doesn't take all that much coaxing from the peanut gallery to get him to belt out ``Jailhouse Rock,'' or a few lyrics from ``Love Me Tender.''
Although his career took a different path, Doummar, who grew up living on Pacific Avenue at 29th Street when Virginia Beach was still a little resort town, was once in a local band - Horizon. His specialty? ``I sang Elvis Presley.'' Although those days are long gone, he's still asked - and willingly agrees - to do his impersonations.
Not only is a fan of The King, but the old ``Dick Van Dyke'' show is still one of his favorite TV shows, the Beatles sang one of his favorite songs and ``The Sound of Music'' still rates as one of his favorite movies.
``I guess I'm kind of stuck in the past,'' he says.
