A $2,500 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of one of the men being targeted by the FBI for engaging in drug trafficking and violent crime in Portsmouth.
Jomokenyatta ``Jomo'' Bell, 24, was indicted on three counts by a federal grand jury in October. Bell was accused of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and using a firearm in drug trafficking.
The indictment follows an investigation by the Tidewater Violent Crime Task Force, which is composed of FBI agents and Portsmouth police. The task force has targeted about two dozen men believed responsible for much of the city's drug dealing and violent crime.
Bell is considered to be a fugitive and is described by the FBI as armed and dangerous. He was last known to have lived in the London Oaks and Parkview sections of Portsmouth.
Anyone with information on Bell's whereabouts should contact the FBI office at 455-0100. All information will be held in confidence.
