CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Strong-arm robbery, 6100 block College Drive, Nov. 10, someone who was delivering pizzas was approached by five individuals. He was struck in the head with a cinderblock and robbed.

Petty larceny, 3800 block Pughsville Road, Nov. 11, someone removed a personalized Virginia license plate from a motorcycle.

Grand larceny, 100 block Lakeview Parkway, Nov. 15, someone removed a satellite lap top computer.

Grand larceny, 4700 block Bridge Road, Nov. 15, someone removed a 4-door, cream colored, 1980 Oldsmobile from a parking lot. Broken glass indicated that access was gained by breaking the back, driver's side window.

Breaking and entering, 2600 block South Nansemond Drive, Nov. 16, someone entered a residence and installed a tape recorder to monitor phone calls.

Breaking and entering, 2600 block North Nansemond Drive, Nov. 18, someone entered and ransacked a residence, causing about $1,000 damage.

Armed robbery, 6000 block College Drive, Nov. 20, someone was approached by three men, one of whom brandished a small black handgun. He was assaulted while they attempted to rob him.

DISTRICT B

Petty larceny, 2500 Woodland Trail, Nov. 11, someone removed state inspection stickers from two vehicles.

Lost/stolen, 400 block Nevada St., Nov. 13, someone removed a city sticker from a vehicle.

Breaking and entering, Townpoint and Harbour View roads, Nov. 16, someone ripped a 4-foot hole in the side of a tool trailer while it was parked at a construction site and removed approximately $1,230 in tools. Damage to the trailer was $1,000.

Grand larceny, 3300 block Pruden Blvd., Nov. 16, someone removed an Artley clarinet from the top of a school locker.

Abandoned vehicle, Route 58 by-pass, Nov. 17, a vehicle was abandoned at this location.

DISTRICT C

Petty larceny, 200 block Kilby Ave., Nov. 11, someone removed the rear license plate from a vehicle.

Stolen motor vehicle, 400 block Nevada St., Nov. 13, a woman reported that someone got into her white, 4-door, '86 Ford Taurus while it was warming up and drove off.

Grand larceny, 100 block Lee St., Nov. 14, someone loaned a vehicle but it was not returned.

Attempted robbery, 900 block North Main St., Nov. 16, someone was leaving a restaurant when a man came up from behind and tried to take his wallet from the rear pocket. In the ensuing struggle, the robber was thrown to the ground. He fled on foot and was seen getting into a gray, Honda-type vehicle.

Forgery/uttering, various area stores, Nov. 18, someone forged and uttered checks on an account with the Naval Air Federal Credit Union in various amounts to local stores including Super Fresh, Levenson's 14K Plus and the Leggett Outlet Center.

Strong-arm robbery, 500 block Linden Ave., Nov. 18, someone was driving his car when the vehicle was surrounded by several men demanding that he get out. $100 was removed from the victim's pocket. An AM/FM cassette radio, two mix 200-watt speakers and a bracelet were also taken.

DISTRICT D

Breaking and entering, 400 block Fuller St., Nov. 12, someone entered a residence through the rear window and removed a 13-inch color TV, a Quasar VCR, two 19-inch color TVs and a stereo.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, South 7th Street, Nov. 12, someone loaned his tan '86 Mercury Sable to another person. The vehicle was not returned.

Breaking and entering, 1400 block Blythewood Lane, Nov. 13, someone entered a residence by pushing in an air conditioning unit. A Panasonic cordless telephone was removed.

Strong-arm robbery, 6th Street and Truman Road, Nov. 13, a woman reported that three men removed $5 and a Motorola pager from her son.

Armed robbery, 900 block Truman Road, Nov. 14, someone reported that as he approached his rear residence door, two men came up to him and announced, ``Give it up and give up your car keys.'' The man started to run away and was shot at. One bullet grazed his finger. The men caught up with the victim and struck him several times in the head and face with the gun.

Unauthorized use, 300 block North 4th St., Nov. 17, someone removed a 4-door, blue '93 Chevrolet Cavalier without permission.

Lost/stolen tag, 200 block North 7th St., Nov. 17, someone removed the front license plate from a vehicle.

Armed robbery, Commerce and Bank streets, Nov. 17, a man was approached by two men with an automatic handgun. They removed his wallet containing various cards, a check for $130 and $450 in cash.

Armed robbery, 300 block Beech St., Nov. 17, a man was approached by two men brandishing a gun. They removed his wallet containing various cards and $24 in cash.

Concealed weapon, Hall Avenue and Morgan Street, Nov. 18, during a traffic stop, a consent-search found a man to be in possession of a folding razor blade knife that contained cocaine.

Grand larceny, 1400 block Blythewood Lane, Nov. 18, after a woman was advised to vacate a residence, the following items were discovered missing: a microwave oven, a 25-inch color TV, a stereo, a vacuum cleaner, a flashlight radio, two flashlights, a bucket and cleaning supplies.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Walnut St., Nov. 20, someone entered a classroom by breaking a window.

DISTRICT E

Grand larceny, 500 block Lake Kilby Road, Nov. 17, someone removed a '96 Ford Escort LX.

Vandalism, 2000 block Deerpath Road, Nov. 18, someone threatened to remove a gate from the Kilby Hunt Club property if not provided with a key. Then the gate was cut and removed.

DISTRICT F

Breaking and entering, 3000 block Carolina Road, Nov. 15, someone entered a residence by pushing back tape on a door and unlocking the door. A pack of cigarettes was removed.

Annoying phone calls, 800 block Carolina Road, Nov. 21, someone has been making annoying phone calls to a person, at home and at work. by CNB
