Gladious Lane King, 65, of the 25000 block of Oak Trail, died Dec. 5, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. King, the daughter of the late Charlie and Adnie Johnson Lane, was a native of Southampton County. She was a member of New Branch Baptist Church, Ivor.
Survivors include her husband, Clinton M. King Sr.; four sons, Clinton King Jr. of Hampton, Bertel King of Smithfield, Va., Angus King and Donald King, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Lee Wilson of Norfolk, Mrs. Susie Mae Spratley of Surry, Va.; four brothers, James Lane, Bertel Lane, Herbert Lane and Edward Lane, all of Ivor; aunt, Mrs. Emily Nixon of Brooklyn, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and daughters-in-law, Mrs. Tinia King, Mrs. Lavenia King, and Mrs. Beverly King; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in New Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank L. Aikens Sr. Burial will be in Davis Family Cemetery, Highway 460. The remains of Mrs. King will lie in state from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Lane, 3749 General Mahon Blvd., Ivor. Crocker Funeral Home in charge.
