Police have determined that a man who died in a hospital Wednesday was murdered.
Emanuel Mullen, 70, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from his home in the 2500 block of Barre St. Tuesday. Rescue crews responded to his home after receiving a call that someone had been injured.
Mullen died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday and a subsequent investigation revealed that he had died from injuries sustained in an assault.
Police have no suspects or a motive and asked that anyone with information call Crime Line at 664-4040.
