My family was in one of the 2,100 cars that drove on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk Nov. 25. The Holiday Lights at the Beach is a spectacle for everyone and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your vehicle.
Virginia Beach should be most proud of Sandy Jackson, whose brainchild this event was. Her creative foresight and imagination have our family still talking about this happening, and we look forward to seeing it grow throughout the years.
All participants involved deserve a real pat on the back for getting this event off the ground and into the hearts of everyone in less than 4 1/2 months, and for getting our holiday off to a very merry beginning.
