EDWARD J. PEARIA SR.

Edward Joseph ``Ed'' Pearia Sr., 77, of the 8000 block of Jerry Lee Drive, died Dec. 7, 1995.

Mr. Pearia, a retired manager of Standard Office Supply, was a native of Robertson, Mo., and a Protestant.

He was a master Mason in the Norview Masonic Lodge (NU)113, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Khedive Temple, and also a member and past patron of the Elizabeth Chapter (NU)45 O.E.S. He served in the Navy during World War II and retired as a chief petty officer.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Pearia; two daughters, Sharon F. Griffiths and her husband, Jerry, of St. Louis, Mo., and Theresa K. Asher and her husband, Jim, of Norfolk; two sons, Edward J. Pearia Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Chesapeake, and Ronald L. Pearia and his wife, Suzanne, of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Kenneth B. Pearia and his wife, Marge, of Wentzville, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral with Masonic rites will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will take place at sea. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Contributions may be made to the Sentara Hospice Program.
