The Waterview (Caroline Avenue) Causeway, between the Westhaven and Waterview neighborhoods in Portsmouth, is not closed, as stated in a headline and story in Friday's Currents section.
What the city has done is barricade Shenandoah, Grayson and Orange streets so that motorists cannot turn into the Waterview neighborhood from High Street.
Also, motorists turning onto High Street from those three streets can only turn right.
A story in last Sunday's MetroNews section, about a lawsuit in Virginia that challenges the boundaries of the black-majority 3rd Congressional District, had the wrong attribution for some comments.
It was Rep. Robert C. Scott of Newport News who said he believes the courts will uphold the boundaries and that the General Assembly drew the lines based on incumbent protection, not race.
The story mistakenly attributed the comments to Robert Smith, a Norfolk Republican who is a plaintiff in the 3rd District lawsuit.
A story in Friday's BusinessNews section, about Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield, was incomplete. It is reprinted in today's BusinessNews section on page D2. by CNB
