CHESAPEAKE - Jackie Ann Brown, 77, widow of Daniel L. Brown, died Dec. 1, 1995 in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Va.
Mrs. Brown was born June 30, 1918, in Morganton, N.C. and lived most of her life in Norfolk and Chesapeake, Va. She was the loving mother of five children.
She is survived by sons, David M. Hilton, Jr. and wife Betty of Salisbury, N.C., Jackie ``Shorty'' L. Hilton and wife Dahline of Norfolk, Va.; daughters, Patricia Ann Lawing and husband Billy Ray, Myrtle Frances Sawyer and husband Joe all of Kannanpolis, N.C., and Amanda Willie M. Sawyer of Chesapeake, Va.; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Ernest Moses and his wife, Virginia, of Morganton, N.C.
A memorial service was held by Rev. Ronald Cooper at Independence Square Freewill Baptist Church, 1615 Independence Square, Kannanpolis, N.C., on Saturday, Dec. 9, 1995, at 3 p.m.
