MARY B. HOLCOMBE

Mary Barbara Moody Holcombe, 71, of the 1300 block of Paul St., a retired registered nurse, died Dec. 8, 1995, peacefully in her home.

Mrs. Holcombe career began at DePaul Hospital, and then worked for the U.S. Public Health Service for 25 years. She finished her career at Hillhaven Convalescent Center before retiring. Mrs. Holcombe was a native of Bernamwood, Wisc. She was the widow of Howard B. Holcombe, and was predeceased by her son, David B. Holcombe. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Ann Senter, Kathleen Kuchman and Joanne Amyotte, all of Norfolk; two sons, Michael B. Holcombe of Norfolk and John Howard Holcombe of Milford, Conn.; a brother, David Moody of Ludington, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Matthew Senter, Patricia Witte, Sean Kuchman, Jennifer Young, Susan Kuchman, Megan Senter, Mary Kuchman, Brent Senter and Jayme Holcombe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11, 1995, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by the Rev. John J. Dorgan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. The family will be at 1318 Paul St., Norfolk. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
