Sherman Perry, 61, of the 100 block of Hill St., died Dec. 7, 1995.
Mr. Perry was born in Gates County, N.C. He was retired as a self-employed truck driver (Perry's Truck Company). He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Morning Star Lodge of Masons (NU)3 and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include three daughters; one son; his mother, Lucille Perry of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. John Baptist Church by the Rev. Nathanial Scates. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will be at 1925 Green St., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the procession. Fisher Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements.
