BERNHARD A. SEITZ

Bernhard Albrecht ``Bernie'' Seitz, 64, of the 4200 block of Greenleaf Drive, died Dec. 8, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center.

Mr. Seitz was a native of Offenbach A/Main, Germany. He was a retired safety engineer for the G.E. T.V. Plant and was also a retired computer programmer for Noland & Co. He was an Evangelical Lutheran. Mr. Seitz was a FCC amateur radio operator (WD4GVU), associate member of the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps, Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS) NNNXQT, South Hampton Roads User Group (SHRUG) Computer Club, American Radio Relay League (ARRL) and Portsmouth Amateur Radio Club. He also was an opera, model railroad and computer enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife, Anna K. Seitz; two sons, Bernhard A. Seitz Jr. and Eugene J. Seitz of Chesapeake; and a granddaughter, Leigh Nicole Seitz of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by the Rev. William H. Battermann. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight in the funeral home. Flowers may be given or memorial donations may be made to the Public Citizen Health Research Group, Washington, D.C. 20009.
