Esther Christophor Turner, 85, of the 200 block of Peninsula Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 9, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Turner, a native of Deltaville, Va., was the widow of Charles E. Turner Sr. She was retired from Star Band Company as a machine operator. She was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church, Faithful Workers Class and the Beasley Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte M. Turner of Portsmouth; a son, Charles E. Turner Jr., and wife, Geraldine M., of Daytona Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home by the Rev. George F. Mullinax. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Branch Baptist Church.
