Recently I took up bowling, little knowing that bowling included taking up smoking!
Over to the side of the application to join a league were questions about the brand of cigarettes you smoke and whether you would like to receive free samples of cigarettes.
To walk into a bowling alley is to enter a thick cloud of smoke created by chain-smoking bowlers who seem to be relieving their frustrations at not being able to smoke in 90 percent of public places today. Forget the person who is there for the fun of bowling; there are no non-smoking areas. This atmosphere of dense smoke is unhealthy and appalling. When you leave, your clothes, hair and body reek of smoke.
The management said they would lose a lot of business if they banned smoking. Citing the only non-smoking alley in the country, located in Michigan, the alley manager said that its business dropped dramatically when it went smoke-free.
Now that we know smoking is deadly, I cannot understand why a sports business condones and promotes smoking.
