Charlotte M. Garber, 71, of Virginia Beach, a retired bookkeeper, died Dec. 10, 1995, in a Norfolk Hospital.
Mrs. Garber was a native of Winthrop, Massachussetts. She was a member of Temple Emanuel in Virginia Beach, Va. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence I. Garber and a son Frederic V. Garber.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Garber Howe of Virginia Beach; one son, Michael David Garber of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Joan Shrager of Delray Beach, Fla., Mrs. Mary Hurwitz of Miami Beach, Fla.; four grandaughters, Lisa J. Howe, Jennifer L. Howe, Elizabeth M. Garber and Rebecca L. Garber, all of Virginia Beach, Va. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother, who always gave to others more than she received. Her family will deeply miss her.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Elliott M. Marmon. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assocation. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, are handling arrangements.
