Ada Marion Lof-land, 83, of the 2400 block of W. Bugle Drive, died Dec. 12, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Piper, Ala., and the widow of Edward Nelson Lofland. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Fellowship Chapter 140, Fleet Reserve Women's Auxiliary Unit 40, and she was an avid Duck Pin Bowler.
Survivors include a son, Michael Lofland and his wife, Kathy, of Harrisonburg, Va.; daughter-in-law, Margaret Pilgreen of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Michael Parker, Gary Pilgreen and his wife, Jennifer, Cindy Richardson and Brandon McCarty; three great-grandchildren, Amy, David, and Brittany. She was preceded in death by a son, Wilbur Pilgreen.
The funeral with Eastern Star Rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. I. Everett Hughes Jr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
