WILLIE T. WOMBLE SR.

Willie Thomas Womble Sr., 58, of 20341 Sedley Road, died Dec. 11, 1995, at home.

He was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was the son of the late Cecil Elmer and Beatrice Beale Womble. He was the widower of Martha Sarah Crumpler Womble. Mr. Womble was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era, and was a former farmer and self-employed construction worker. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by a son, W. Thomas Womble Jr. of Sedley; a sister, Willis Pearl W. Bulls of Berlin; three brothers, Emmett R. Womble Sr. and Willard Earl Womble, both of Franklin, and Charles Womble of Macon, Ga.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley, by the Rev. Larry Cribb. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Wright Funeral Home, and suggests memorials be made to the local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous.
