Eddie L. Whitehurst Jr., 67, died Dec. 7, 1995.
He was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Princess Anne, Va., and was a winter resident for four years from Virginia Beach. An army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a member of Virginia Beach's Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 8, and the Fraternal Order of Fireman. A Mason, he was a member of the Charity Church of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen and Kathy, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Eddie Hugh of Washington, D.C.; and four sisters, Ruby Downs of Colorado, Dorothy Keesee, Leigh Hobbs and Marjorie Harrell, all of Virginia Beach.
There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Dec. 19, 1995, at Charity Church of Virginia Beach.
