The spirit of Deborah Ann Carpenter, of 504 Pine Song Lane, went home to be with the God on Dec. 11, 1995.
Deborah is the mother of Chelsea Alexandra Carpenter and will now be her guardian angel.
Deborah was born in Norfolk in 1954. She spent 12 years in secondary school in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She attended Old Dominion University and was proud of her Magna Cum Laude as a special Spanish teacher . Of course, her proudest accomplishment was her beautiful daughter Chelsea.
Her presence will be missed by her mother, Hope Carpenter of Glade Valley, N.C.; her sister, Linde Carpenter; and her roommate, Mary Beth Phillips of Virginia Beach; and all her many friends.
The family will receive friends at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
