Edwood Hilton Hollis, 81, of the 3400 block of West Bonner Drive, died Dec. 11, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Hollis, the retired owner of Russ and Hollis Auto Service, was a native of Robersonville, N.C. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Cherry Hollis; a daughter, Betty H. Ayers of Chesapeake; a son, Irvin H. Hollis of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Jeanette Johnson of Virginia Beach, Jim Ayers Jr. and Wayne Ayers both of Chesapeake, Kim Hollis; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Staton Hollis.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. John Mason. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to American Kidney Foundation.
