Two young men were arrested Tuesday and charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old Buxton girl.
Sheriff Albert ``Bert'' Austin said the assault occurred Sunday night in a vehicle in Avon. The girl was acquainted with the men, the sheriff said.
Richard E. Scarborough, 18, of Avon, and Christopher M. Cornelius, 23, of Frisco, were both charged with second-degree sex offense. Cornelius also was charged with giving malt beverages to an underage person.
They were held on $10,000 bond each, Chief Deputy Rodney Midgett said.
