Your article ``Distrust Surfaces at Meeting on Mall'' (Metro News, Dec. 6) was a double-take. As one of the people who attended this meeting, there was very little, if any, truth in the report. Did we and the reporters go to the same meeting?
For example, there were 30 speakers. Only one spoke in favor of the mall. Imagine the surprise of those who were there when they read the highlighted quote, ``Ninety-five percent of the people favor the mall.'' What Clark Olsen said was ``Ninety-five percent of the people who called the Norfolk Community News were in favor of the mall.'' For all we know that could have been six people and a far cry from 95 percent of all the people!
