Elsie Lee Belcher, 61, of the 4500 block of N. Hessian Road, died Dec. 12, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Warsaw, N.C.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Belcher Jr. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her two daughters, Carol Moseley of Cape Hatteras, N.C, and Rebecca Lyles of Virginia Beach; two sons, Jack Belcher of Tokyo, Japan, and Mark Belcher of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce E. Carter of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Glenda Jeffries of Portsmouth; and a brother, Bobby Rhodes of Portsmouth.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Michael Robbins. Burial is in Quantico National Cemetery on Monday at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
