WHAD'YA KNOW, Michael Feldman is going to make it to Virginia Beach. The host of public radio's ``Whad'ya Know?'' was supposed to bring the popular comedy/quiz show to town in September, but had to cancel when he got sick. Now, he's making good. The show airs from the Pavilion at 11 a.m., but get there a half-hour early. Tickets from September are still good; there's some left for $15. Call 428-8000 or 671-8100. Can't make it? Tune to WHRV-FM (89.5) and listen as Hampton Roads goes national.

BRIAN CULBERTSON got an early taste of success. The jazz keyboardist was in class at DePaul University when his beeper went off: The president of Mesa/Bluemoon records wanted him to know that ``Long Night Out,'' his 1994 debut, had cracked the Top 5. ``Modern Life,'' the atmospheric follow-up, has gotten a similar reception. See why tonight and Saturday at 6 at the Bait Shack, in Norfolk's Waterside. Tickets: $15 advance, $17 the day of the show. Call 622-3654.
